Training
We offer a number of different training programs at Ecoworks.
From June 2009, we can provide localised training around Nottingham. Read more…..
Our E2E programme provides young people aged 16-19 from diverse backgrounds accredited training in horticulture in partnership with Access Training. This is funded by the Learning and Skills Council.
The FRESH Ingredient Project (FIP) provides training in growing produce and in healthy eating. The programme runs six times a year and consists of a taster course, and four half day sessions on growing skills (based on the FRESH gardens) and four half day sessions on how to prepare healthy meals in our training kitchen (at Ecoworks’ offices at The Croft, near the gardens).
Participants can continue to come up to the gardens and cultivate their own patch on the FIP garden. Whilst priority is given to men over 40 who are living in certain areas in Nottingham, it is open to others and is funded by the Nottingham City Primary Care Trust until March 2011.
We hope to offer a variety of organic horticulture training courses in the future. Join our mailing list to keep up-to-date with our activities.
